Story Time

During story time my students have taken over my role reading stories to our class.  They choose a story from our library or bring their favorite book from home. 

Fossils

 As a culminating activity, we made our own fossils with Mrs. Jenkins second grade class. 

Dinosaurs and Pastels

Harvest of the Month-Strawberries

 We enjoyed a healthy snack. We learned about and ate strawberries.  Dipping the strawberries into the yogurt was a nice treat. 

Fossil Dig

 We have been learning about paleontology during our dinosaur unit.  We were paleontologists for a day. We carefully had to dig out the chocolate chips from a cookie.  We had to be patient and careful.  The best part was eating the cookies when we finished!

Gardening

 We picked the sweet peas, green beans and carrots from our garden.  We enjoyed eating the delicious vegetables.  It was great learning how to garden with Mrs. Jenkins second grade class.  We also learned a lot about the life cycle of plants. 

Creating Dinosaurs with LEGOS

 We have been learning about dinosaurs.  Our class worked in groups to create their own dinosaur.  They presented their creations and wrote about it.
