We had the pleasure of having a microbiologist visit our classroom! She taught us the importance of washing our hands correctly. We conducted two experiments. The first experiment, we wiped our dirty hands on an agar plate. After that, half of the class used hand sanitizer to clean their hands. The other half of the class washed their hands with water and soap.
Once we completed the first experiment, we went around the classroom wiping various objects with the agar plates. The results are soon to come. I want to thank the Dennis family for providing us the opportunity to have Mrs. Roberts to come to our classroom to teach us all about germs!
